Call-to-Apply – Impact Investment Primer
In order to actualize transformative change with social and environmental justice at its foundation, we need to simultaneously address the three dimensions of sustainable development – equity, ecology and economy. However, organisations that are active on-the-ground, call out ‘access to finance’ as a critical impediment to create scale. At the other end, the funders are talking of Impact Investments (investments made with the intention of generating both financial return and social and/or environmental impact) to achieve the UN SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).
In continuation of the DSET (Designing for Socio-Ecological Transformation) work area, Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) India, with its knowledge partners The Eco-Logical Foundation and Second Nature Sustainable Solutions, is conducting an exercise Impact Investment Primer to connect the socio-ecological change makers to the Impact Investment eco-system.
