The workshops on Designing for Socio-Ecological Transformation is an ongoing series exploring the idea of transforming self to transform society, for sustainable living.

The participants will go through a series of three residential workshops of three days each, spread over three months. They will be introduced to a new methodology on designing for sustainability called the Transformational Capacity Development Program or TCDP.

For details on the previous workshop series (2018) visit <link e building-responsibly-to-facilitate-socio-ecological-transformation external-link>www.fes-india.org/e/building-responsibly-to-facilitate-socio-ecological-transformation/.

and follow this visual journey event Experiencing Change through Change Makers.

This being an experiential learning process that will introduce a series of interconnected tools, it is important for participants to commit to participating fully in all days of the workshop process. To be able to benefit fully from the process, the participants also have to commit to taking part in inter-session practice work (between each workshop) through Triad Calls, totalling approximately 2 hours per month.

Each participant will also undertake a Breakthrough Initiative (BTI) to enable her/ him to practice the tools that s/he learns during the workshops in the everyday work context. A BTI is usually around a systemic challenge that the person is trying to address in her/ his everyday professional context.

How to achieve all these? How can designers make a difference? How to change systems? How to design transformative interventions? These and many other questions will be answered by the group themselves with facilitation from Ms. Gulan Kripalani (LinkedIn profile).
